In this series, you’ll get to know the impact makers of MEPD. Each MEPD member answers three questions. Enjoy!
Meet Jan Rozema: our connecting senior advisor. He really gets energized when it comes to giving advice, especially on vitality and professional competence.
Who are you and what do you do at MEPD?
As an advisor, I maintain contacts with companies in the central Netherlands region. It’s rewarding work to organize support for companies regarding HR questions they have. In addition, I guide and coach employees in areas such as career development, outplacement, reintegration, and communication skills. All in all, a very varied job with lots of interesting personal contacts.
What has stuck with you most since working at MEPD and why?
The development of a program in the field of Sustainable Employability gave me a lot of satisfaction. Especially translating the questions from companies into a practical approach to activate employees. After a long buildup at a large metal company via trade unions, works council, and a successful pilot, we were allowed to carry out this program in various company departments. It was a valuable stepping stone for several follow-up assignments at other companies. I enjoy activating people in workshops and advisory sessions to invest in their future. Staying competent and vital doesn’t happen by itself, but it is definitely worth it. Being able to keep enjoying your work and persisting, even as you get older, is a valuable thing.
MEPD members are impact makers;
how do you make an impact?
By being a reliable partner for companies and employees. I am happy to make a difference here… By listening carefully to what is going on in HR and delivering quality in our services, I contribute to long-term partnership. In supporting employees, we also make an impact. Not just by offering professional help and advice, but also by providing solid mental support and demonstrating involvement.
“Showing involvement and striving for quality”
