Certifications
Supporting people in their careers means working on something that has a real impact on their lives. That is why quality matters. MEPD is affiliated with several professional and sector organizations, including OVAL. We also hold certifications and quality marks such as NOLOC and Blik op Werk.
Our work is regularly reviewed to ensure that we continue to meet the relevant standards and requirements. We also measure client satisfaction to keep improving our services.
Foundation
MEPD, formerly known as Metalektro Personeelsdiensten, was founded in 1992 by employer and employee organizations at the initiative of Hollandse Signaalapparaten, now Thales, in Hengelo.
The original aim was to help employees from the technical sector who lost their jobs, for whatever reason, find new employment. Preferably within the same sector, so that valuable knowledge and skills could be retained within the industry.
We are proud that, through our foundation, we have been able to support many people over the years. Clients and participants value our personal approach, and our career counselors remain committed to making a meaningful difference in people’s working lives.
Supervisory Board
MEPD’s Supervisory Board consists of representatives from employer and employee organizations active in the technical sector:
Jan Baake, Gerard van Dijk, John Dollenkamp, and Arjan Ellenbroek.
FNV, CNV, and De Unie have all played an important role in the development of Foundation MEPD, formerly Foundation Metalektro Personeelsdiensten.
The unions were represented on the joint board for more than 20 years, from 1992 to 2025, and contributed to MEPD becoming the organization it is today: a trusted partner for the manufacturing and technology sectors in development, outplacement, and employability.
