Development Mentally Fit
Sharp, fresh, and energetic employees
Mentally Fit: Practical. Preventive. Immediately applicable.
One employee with stress complaints… and suddenly, the whole team is under pressure. Work piles up, productivity drops, and costs rise. In the technology sector, absenteeism due to stress is even higher than average.
The Mentally Fit Program gives you and managers the tools to recognize signals faster and act immediately. Practical, preventive, and directly applicable on the work floor. Why wait until it’s too late?
Why wait until it’s too late?
In the technology sector, absenteeism is already far above the national average (6.7% vs. 5.2%). At FME companies, it’s even above 9%. Of this absenteeism, 25% is mental. Stress and work pressure often develop invisibly, but have a direct impact on your organization:
- Overburdening colleagues
- Increasing work pressure
- Risk of even more absenteeism
As an HR professional, you know how high the costs and pressure can get. But more importantly: you see every day what it does to your people.
Mentally Fit
The Mentally Fit program helps you and your organization make mental fitness a topic of discussion, recognize signals in time, and strengthen employees preventively. The result:
- Less absenteeism
- Lower costs
- More resilience and energy in the workplace
Workshop Mental Fitness
In this practical workshop, employees actively work on mental fitness. What does it really mean to be mentally fit, and when do you feel it yourself?
We provide clear insights into stress and recovery, and together explore which situations drain energy and which generate energy. Each participant works on a personal action plan to take the first step toward greater resilience.
There is plenty of room for personal input during the workshop. In round table discussions, employees share what mental fitness means to them—open, honest, and relatable.
This way, we create collective awareness that mental fitness is a shared responsibility: the employer supports, the employee takes action.
Check-in: employability coaching
Each employee starts by filling out a short questionnaire about employability. This helps gain insight into how things are really going, and whether there are signs of stress or imbalance. Then there is a one-on-one conversation with a MEPD coach. How is the employee doing? Are there signs of overload? If so, we schedule a follow-up together. If there is no cause for concern at that moment, the employee receives a raise-the-alarm ticket to keep on hand, in case it’s needed later. The goal? Start the conversation in time, before someone drops out.
Staying in motion: workshops and training sessions
It’s important to keep the topic of Mentally Fit alive and on the agenda. That’s why we organize in-depth workshops for both managers and employees. Managers receive practical tools to keep a handle on absenteeism: how do you spot the early signs of stress or burnout, and how do you have a good conversation? For employees, there are interactive sessions like From Work Pressure to Work Happiness, Help, I Have a Conversation, and Personal Leadership. Together, we continue building mental resilience in the workplace.
Because prevention is better than cure. Mental issues often build up gradually. Through early awareness and support you prevent long-term absence and maintain employability.
Absolutely, but as an employer you can create the right conditions. Think of time for recovery, support from managers, and open conversations. That way, mental fitness becomes a shared responsibility.
Mentally fit employees are more productive, resilient, and engaged. Less absenteeism, lower turnover, and a more positive work atmosphere ultimately lead to better results and lower costs.
