This training focuses on connecting and collaborating successfully with colleagues from different generations. You will gain insight into differences in values, communication, and expectations, and learn how to deal with them constructively. Using practical tools, you will work towards stronger and more effective collaboration in the workplace.
Workshop content
This interactive workshop will cover, among other things, the following topics:
- Characteristics of generations: what drives them, how do they view work and technology?
- Communication differences: preferences per generation (face-to-face, email, chat, apps)
- Values and work styles: loyalty, flexibility, hierarchy, work-life balance
- Collaboration in mixed teams: opportunities and challenges
- Typical tensions and misunderstandings: how do they arise and how do you solve them?
- Practical tips: building bridges, leveraging strengths, increasing mutual understanding
- Mentoring and knowledge sharing: how the young and old can strengthen each other
