Losing your job is a significant event. A new beginning and a path full of uncertainties. You are good at your profession. But you may not be used to ‘selling’ yourself to a new employer. We are. Your transition allowance gives you the opportunity to seek help from an experienced and committed partner like MEPD. We are here to get you back on track.
We coach in the way that suits you
Experienced and driven career advisors, an extensive network, Jobport (vacancy-finding system), and training and tools. We guide you toward a new job or a different way of fulfilling your life. We work closely with you. Individually or in groups, but you do the work. It’s your career. Your life.
We coach and support you in the way that suits you. Depending on your personal situation and wishes, you may also choose an MUP program or secondment. Outplacement is always custom work. We do everything we can. But it’s up to YOU to make it happen.

Don’t act hastily. Take some time for the news to sink in. Allow yourself to process your emotions. But also, don’t wait too long to start searching for a new job. If your employer offers the possibility of an outplacement program, it’s valuable to take advantage of it. In such a program, we coach you in further discovering your strengths and talents, (re)applying through job interview training, motivation analysis, etc. This way, we help you prepare for job interviews.
In MEPD’s outplacement program, you’ll be prepared for a new job. We understand what a dismissal does to you and give room for your emotions. But we also help you pick up the pieces. We focus on the positive: what are your strengths and what makes you happy? Then we help you with job applications and prepare you for your new role!
A reorganization often has a significant impact on your life, both at work and at home. Talking helps. This can be with someone close to you. But it may also be easier to talk with someone experienced in these matters, who is a bit more distant. We have that experience; we are here for you and your questions.
We like to promote self-reliance and will help you as needed to find suitable vacancies. We have a vacancy website, Jobport, especially for you and our participants, which you will have access to. The most recent job openings are listed there.
MEPD also features vacancies from our network. Our account managers have a broad network and are aware of available vacancies. We help you wherever possible, but in the end, you are the one who will find the right job for yourself.
You can apply for unemployment (WW) benefits starting one week before your first day of unemployment. Only then will the UWV have received your salary details from your employer. They need this information to decide on your benefits. The UWV can then quickly let you know whether you are entitled to unemployment benefits. Make sure to apply for benefits no later than one week after your last working day.
