“I saw several reorganizations pass me by. In the meantime, the philosophy and support for my department slowly disappeared as well. Still, I kept going. Through trial and error, I put in the effort to hold everything together. Without success. But the word ‘give up’ doesn’t exist in my vocabulary; I am dedicated and kept believing in it. Against my better judgment. I only see that in retrospect. What was I doing it all for? What did that struggle bring me? I was stressed and unhappy because of my work. In my first conversations with MEPD, I shared everything I’ve been struggling with over perhaps the last fifteen years. It was nice to notice that I gradually found myself again and that space emerged for a new job.”
