This training focuses on connecting and collaborating successfully with colleagues from various cultural backgrounds. You will gain insight into differences in values, communication, and expectations—and learn how to handle these constructively. With practical tools, you’ll work towards stronger and more enjoyable collaboration in the workplace.
Workshop content
This interactive workshop covers, among others, the following topics:
- What is culture? Understanding and its effect on behavior and communication.
- Key cultural characteristics:
- Direct and indirect communication
- Hierarchy and power distance
- Practical examples from technology and industry: planning, safety, and meetings
- Common misunderstandings and how they arise
- Effective communication with other cultures: tips and do’s & don’ts
